Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished professor of psychology since 1993 and director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is widely acclaimed as a pioneer in the field of child witnesses and eyewitness memories in the legal setting. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer, has won many prizes and grants. She has offered advice on policy and research to numerous agencies and government departments from all over the world. She is a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychological Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
